rainy summer wedding Replot bröllopsfotograf Vasa Hääkuvaaja kesähäät
People who don’t mind rain are my kind of people.
Finnish summer is not to be trusted if you expect sunshine and warmth and when a couple mentions an outdoor ceremony I just hope they know what they might be up against. With Jonna and Roger, I never had to worry. The dark clouds couldn’t scare them and as it started to rain just before their outdoor ceremony it still wasn’t an option for them to say their I do’s anywhere else than on the dock by their summer house.
It was a beautiful scene with the calm sea surrounding us and the background noise of the rain drumming against the umbrellas. I wouldn’t change a thing about it since we afterwards could hide away in the heated tent and even sneak into the small cabin to dry our shoes by the fire Roger had set up (still in his wedding suit). I just realized that rainy summer day weddings at the cabin might be my favorite theme. Then again, I love all weddings that this clearly celebrates who the people making the promises are and what they care about. These two wouldn’t let a little rain spoil their forever and I am just so thankful that I was trusted with telling the story.
