For a long time I intentionally didn’t do many family sessions. The traditional concept were bribes are needed to force smiles really isn’t my thing, I just can’t get why you ever would want to remember your children’s childhood in any other way than the messy, energetic, slimey and happy time it is.
Then came that awfully hot month when I drove out to join Edith, Evert and Liisi for a playdate. We spend an hour playing at their summer house, no posing or bribing necessary since they simply got to do whatever they would do on a normal summer’s day. They got to be the kids they are and it was so much fun just getting to follow and play along with them.
