Summer is coming.
We will get there and besides swimming and riding my bike in the middle of the bright June night, I look forward to the family sessions that are to come.
Starting out as a photography 10 years ago I hated family sessions. They were stiff and stressful, with unhappy kids and awkward parents. No one seemed to enjoy themselves.
Then, some years ago something changed. I started using the same documentary approach with families as I did at weddings and captured whatever came my way. This way I got to document genuine laughter and hugs, as well as stubborn tears and raging games. Looking at these photos I felt something, and then I could only imagine being the parent, or grown up kid, watching these photos years later.

This week I’ll be contacting the people that signed up to my wait list, and while they have the first chance to book one of the limited spots, you can be next in line. I’ll hopefully be documenting families in and around Turku, Helsinki, Vasa and Jakobstad this year, so don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re curious.
Now here’s a family that don’t need an introduction since you’ve probably seen the story from the session I did with them a few years ago. Now Edvin is older and has a younger sister named Saga, but the family is just as sweet and fun as before and I was so happy yo get to spend another summer’s day with them.
