Bohemian Wedding Intimate farm wedding Finland wedding photographer storytellerÂ
Many of us spend so much time imagining whatâs to come, building expectations of what will be, that we easily miss whatâs right in front of us. At times weâre trying so hard to carpe all that diem, that we end up letting most of if slip through our hands. At least thatâs how I experience my photography. The harder I try to come up with and capture the perfect story, the more I miss of whatâs actually in front of me. And I am questioning why I even would spend time staging the perfect photo of some material detail, if it makes me miss real outbursts of laughter, tears, life.
It takes people like Sabina and Tommi to remind me that we donât need to give up our search for beauty, we just need to broaden it. Because our expectations of perfection will never be better than what actually happens in a house filled with people who love each other. So why would I go into a wedding day with a shot list, only pointing my camera at what goes with the story I had in mind, when the real thing is right in front of me. Your children handing over their drawings as a first wedding gift and friends ordering pizza to celebrate your union. Driving the familiar road to your summer house and being greeted by the animals you hold so dear. Cuddling lambs and picking eggs right from the hen house in your finest clothes.Â
I had a very vague idea of what to expect when I joined Sabina and Tommiâs intimate celebration and for this I am glad. It was amazing to not know what was going to hit me and that’s why this day just went straight to the heart.
